HEROES IN GRIEF PODCAST
A video & audio podcast hosted by Tom that will frequently feature guests who have encouraging stories of how they turned grief into purposeful or meaningful ventures. First episode coming very soon. Likely late July 2023.
TOM BENDER/CERTIFIED GRIEF EDUCATOR
Tom was an award-winning full-time vocalist/guitarist in the Western New York area who has changed his focus to help those in grief. That change occurred when Tom's 27 yr. old son Jeff crossed over on 2/23/23.
Although music had been his profession for the last 14 years, his past also includes 20+ years in both professional & volunteer ministry where he led GriefShare groups, 15 years in professional EMS where he led Critical Incident Stress Debriefing & took Red Cross Disaster Training and 3 1/2 years as a Hospice Spiritual Care Director.
Besides the podcast, Tom is available to work with folks one-on-one, online, and in group settings to be a friend and lend his experience & expertise to those struggling with their grief.
He is also an experienced speaker and is available for engagements to share his story or to cover topics.
